The Robot Big Build Day October 2017 Half Term – Blog by Ben

I’ve just got back from my Robot Big Build Day. I really enjoyed it!

We went to a local Hotel where Robot Liz-ii had prepared Lego EV3 Mindstorm Kits for us to build. There were four different builds for each pair to choose from (a Puppy, Gyro Boy, a Crane & a Colour Sorter). Arthur and I chose to create a robot Colour-Sorter. This awesome kit is pre-programmed and I followed the steps to build a conveyor belt which picked up Lego bricks and sorted them by colour.  We had a break at lunchtime and we watched Hong Kong Phooey, then we got back to work creating our builds.

Robot Liz-ii took a video of us presenting each of our builds, and then when our parents came to collect us we showed them our robots in action.

If you love robots, you’ll love the Robot Big Build Day!
