Cargo Delivery Attachment at Harrison Primary School by Oscar

This week we were using the cargo pickup and delivery attachment to transport light goods.

Firstly we build the attachment and used a flowchart to plan the Robots movements. Then we programmed the EV3 Brick to move forward and back, lift the attachment up and down and do some extra commands as well. Surprisingly, we had enough time to slightly customize our program, adding things such as displays, sounds and loops which made the sequences rather comical!

The loop meant that it could infinitely repeat commands (or until the battery ran out) without awkward pauses and having to keep coding the same things over and over again. Using this feature, one pair created a dancing motion using the medium motor, where the attachment would swing back and forth after completing the main manoeuvre.

Everyone managed to successfully accomplish this task and had a lot of fun doing so! At the end of the session we videoed the bots in action – we all enjoyed seeing them do their sequences.
