Weekly One Hour Lessons
Robot Liz-ii runs a series of weekly one hour lessons with 16 children (half a class) to cover many aspects of the Computer National Curriculum. It’s the perfect way to introduce Robots (or physical systems) in the lesson without the large financial outlay.
The following covers a proposed outline of subjects covered over a series of FIVE sessions:

Session 1 | Background to Robots
Try out motors, displays, sound, sensors Download to EV3 brick |
Session 2 | Build Robot
Programme Robot to move around Road Map or race |
Session 3 | Add ultrasonic sensors (input) to detect object and loop |
Session 4 | Build pick up accessory and pick up object with medium motor. Add ultrasonic sensor. |
Session 5 | Add light sensors and loop
Robots are programmed to keep within the dark circle on the mat. This is a fun activity when all robots are put on mat together ending with a ‘Robot Wars’ activity. |
Please note that there is a minimum time of two hours and are recommended for Year 5 and Year 6. As the One hour lessons are aimed at 16 children, approximately half a class, a two hour session will include a whole class of 32.
