During my sessions, I try to take many videos of the Robot Challenges at the end of the session. This requires the whole group to watch, keep quiet and respect each other. I believe that it is good practice as not only is it a record of the youngsters achievements but they are able to show to their group what they have done.
During the videos, I encourage the pupils to introduce their robot and explain the activity. This can often be difficult especially for a quiet child but with the excitement of the challenge and when they see their peers presenting, the majority overcome their shyness. It becomes a matter of “let me go first” as everyone wants to show off what their robot has done.
Please watch a selection of recent videos taken at the schools that I visit at lessons, workshops and clubs.
